Burley Refutes Newspaper ClaimsFri 04th Aug 2000 12:28 An angry George Burley has refuted newspaper claims this morning that Richard Wright's contract is worth £18,000 a week. The Town manager is distinctly unimpressed at the way money is being made an issue in this way. The story suggested that after endorsements, sponsorship etc Wright would be earning £1 million a year. This was not confirmed by his agent, Jonathan Barnett, who merely said that Wright would be "well rewarded".
